Adeyemi adefunke

Adefunke Adeyemi was recently honoured as one of the 200 globally Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) in affiliation with the United Nations Decade for People of African Descent.  She is a catalyst of change, influencer and transformative thought leader for the aviation industry, positively impacting lives and the business environment through her passion, work and initiatives focused on driving value, best practices and international standards in the sector. She is a lawyer, advocate, global aviation expert and executive mentor, and has spearheaded several women in aviation leadership initiatives and capacity building in the Africa Middle East region over the past 10 years.                                                                        In her current role as Regional Director, Advocacy & Strategic Relations for Africa at the International Air Transportation Association (IATA), Adefunke advocates for the sustainability and growth of the aviation industry across the region, highlighting its value to economies and societies as an enabler, connector and catalyst for development and growth, and a force for social good. Adefunke is responsible for conceptualising and delivering an ongoing campaign for improved air connectivity across the continent and is IATA’s focal point for the implementation of the Single Air transport market initiative across the continent. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from University of Cambridge, U.K. after obtaining her undergraduate law degree. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Nanyang Business School, NTU, Singapore, during which she simultaneously completed a collaborative Advanced Management Program in Aviation, Leadership and Innovation between the Nanyang Business School, Berkeley Haas School of Business, University of California and the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. She is Founder and President of a non-for profit organisation named FIFI – Female Initiatives For Impact, focused on addressing real challenges faced by women and children in our societies.

adeniji toyin

Mrs. Adeniji is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) Degree in Civil Engineering with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the University of Lagos and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Mrs. Adeniji’s experience in the financial industry spans various areas. She has acquired considerable experience at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as Investment Officer in the Syndications & International Securities and Global Mining Departments, Head, Women in Business and Principal Operations Officer, SME Development. She also functioned as the Managing Director of Susu Microfinance Bank Limited, an institution licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to provide a broad range of financial services to micro entrepreneurs and unbanked markets. Prior to her engagement by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Mrs. Adeniji had a stint with Arthur Anderson (Chartered Accountants). Mrs. Toyin Adeniji holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, an Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.

Adenowo Jumoke

Jumoke Adenowo has twin parallel careers as an Architect and a Philanthropist. In 1994 Jumoke founded AD Consulting, of which she is Principal Partner. She also founded – Awesome Treasures, an intercontinental philanthropic foundation recognised by the United Nations and is part of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation Family Philanthropy platform with a mission to raise 1000 leaders, Leading by Design by 2030. In 2019, Olajumoke Adenowo was appointed as Visiting Professor at the Technische Universitat Munchen (TUM) in Germany. She was honoured as a Laureate and a Guest Scientist at the Chair of Theory, History of Architecture, Art & Design arm of the university’s Department of Architecture. As an Architect Jumoke’s portfolio includes a host of multi-national and Nigerian clients including some of the world’s strongest brands like Coca Cola and L’Oreal. In 2018, she was listed by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as one of the most inspirational women in architecture today. She is the winner of a number of awards for her work including the New African Business Woman of the year Award, Africa’s Most Inspiring Business Woman by the Francophone La Batisseur d’economie, the International Property Awards (Best Public Service Architecture, 2012), African Property Awards (Best Mixed-Use Architecture), two IDEA Awards (Best Commercial Designer 2012), (Best Interior Architect 2013), and a further IDEA Award (Best Institutional Architect 2014).Jumoke is also the recipient of the Cambridge African Society Award. She was recognized as one of 100 most Influential Nigerians and was also named as one of the Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria. Jumoke is an alumnus of a number of prestigious institutions including the Yale School of Management, The IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, and the Lagos Business School’s Chief Executive Programme

Adesola Bola

Bola Adesola is the Senior Vice-Chairman Africa, Standard Chartered Bank. She is also the Co-Vice Chair of the United Nations Global Compact Board and sits on several other boards including as Trustee on the WIMBIZ Board, Trustee of the FinTech Association of Nigeria, and as Chairman of Lagos State Employment Trust Fund. She is also a director of SCB Ghana Plc, and Chairman of SCB Mauritius Ltd.   Prior to her present appointment, Bola was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria and West Africa. She also held the position of Executive Director, First Bank of Nigeria Plc  and Managing Director of Kakawa Discount House, Nigeria. Previous to those, she held several senior leadership roles in Citibank Nigeria and Tanzania.  In 2001, Bola co-founded Women in Management, Business and Public service (WIMBIZ), now Nigeria’s largest and highly respected gender-oriented network for women, with global affiliations. She is also a member of the IOD and of Women Corporate Directors and a proud GAIA AFRICA Member. A former Council Member and Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria,  Bola has a law degree and over 30 years banking experience. She is an alumna of Harvard Business School as well as Lagos Business School; is married,  and is the proud mother of twin girls. Bola does not ‘sweat the small stuff’ – she’s an avid reader, extensively travelled, and an art enthusiast.

Adebo Oyeyimika

Oyeyimika Adeboye joined the Board of Cadbury Nigeria Plc. as Finance and Strategy Director in November 2008. She was appointed as Managing Director of Cadbury Nigeria Plc on 1 April 2019 and Managing Director of MondelÄ“z International West Africa on 1 July 2019. Mrs. Adeboye is a director on the Board of Cadbury Ghana Limited.  Prior to joining the MondelÄ“z International group, Mrs. Adeboye was the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance at Nigerian Bottling Company Plc (NBC).  Mrs. Adeboye worked for the Nigeria Accounting Practice of the erstwhile accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co, and the United Kingdom Accounting Practice of Midgley Snelling & Co, Chartered Accountants, where she also trained as an articled clerk after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Social Studies from University College Cardiff, Wales.  Mrs. Adeboye is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Nigeria.  Mrs. Adeboye is a member of the Board of Odutola Holdings Limited, a family owned group of companies. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Timothy Adeola Odutola Foundation, a family owned philanthropic foundation set up for the purpose of providing educational, industrial and technological development of Nigerian youths who may be unable to gain access to higher education.  Mrs Adeboye is a member of the Board of Trustees YEO Foundation which provides various initiatives to empower less privileged women. She also contributes her time to partner with Handmaidens WiLS, a Christian NGO, which seeks to mentor and empower professional women along an ethical career path.
