AKPOBOME MARY

Mary Akpobome is the Chief Operating Officer of Imperium Capital Services Plc (Formerly HBCL Investment Services Plc,) a private equity Investment Firm. A Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administrators, Mary holds an MBA from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She is an Alumnus of Lagos Business School, London Business School and INSEAD (France). She is also a member of the Institute of Directors and Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and in Nigeria. A consummate Banker with over 30 years’ experience, Mary is also the co-Founder of The Purple Girl Foundation – a Foundation focused on providing education opportunities for young underprivileged girls.

AKINWUNMI JUMOKE

Arc. Olajumoke Akinwunmi – former Special Adviser on Housing Development, General Manager Ogun State Housing Corporation and Director General of the Bureau of Lands and Surveys (Ogun State), and Interim CEO of the Federal Government’s affordable housing programme – Family Homes Funds Limited (2017-2018), earned both her B.ES and B. Arch. degrees with distinction from the University of Lagos in 1989. Thereafter, she earned a Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) with specialisation in Project Management from the University of Dundee, Scotland in 1994. Jumoke’s work experience spans over 20 years in senior management roles in both the public and private sectors. She started her career with Adeniyi Coker Architects (now ACCL) and in 1994 joined James Cubitt Architects as Project Manager. She joined Shell Trustees (Nig.) Limited (now Shell Nigeria Closed Pension Fund Administration) where, as Property Development Manager she successfully led various project teams that were responsible for the delivery of a highly regarded residential portfolio on behalf of the Pension Fund. Jumoke was the Managing Director/CEO of Avante Property and Asset Management Services, a subsidiary of Ocean and Oil Holdings, a company she helped set up in 2004. While in this role, she brokered the first interactions with regulators on the creation of REITs in Nigeria, and incubated Broll Property Services Limited. In 2007, she co-founded Alitheia Capital Limited, a company that manages private equity funds, provides real estate and business incubation advisory services and development management services in Sub Saharan Africa.

AKINTOMIDE CECILIA

Cecilia Akintomide joined the Board of FBN Holdings Plc. on July 19, 2016. She is a seasoned professional with executive level management experience. She was, until recently, Vice President Secretary General of the African Development Bank, where she was responsible for managing the secretariat as well as shareholder relations involving 80 member states. She was also responsible for the work programs of the Boards, and the institution’s diplomatic relations. In addition, she was a member of the senior management coordination and operations committees and chaired the committee for the preparation of the Annual Meetings. Prior to her role as VPSG, she headed the public and private sector financing legal services team, covering projects in the whole of Africa, and also served as Chief Counsel Institutional Affairs, as well as Finance Counsel. She brings to the Board of FBN Holdings Plc., her wealth of management experience, particularly from an international financial institution, and her legal experience spanning over 30 years’ post call to bar, with expertise in corporate governance, institutional affairs, business reorganisations and financing. She has practiced law in different jurisdictions, including as a Business Reorganisation Associate in the law firm of Weil Gotshal & Manges, in New York, and as a Junior Associate at O. Thomas & Co., Lagos. She was a member of the United Nations election monitoring team for the 1994 presidential elections in South Africa, won by Nelson Mandela. She was awarded Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2014 for her meritorious contributions in the field of International Development. She is experienced in working and leading in a multicultural and bilingual environment. Cecilia is a frequent speaker at international events on Law, Development and Gender. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar and the New York Bar. She holds gold and bronze medals in swimming, and is a Deacon as well as a member of the church choir.

AKINKUNMI MOJISOLA

Mojisola Akinkunmi is the Managing Director of SAExploration Seismic Services Limited and serves as board of directors at Terra Energy Services Limited and Amerapex Nigeria Limited. Mrs. Akinkunmi opens the line of communication between clients, and businesses to get projects executed. With over 20 years in both public and private sectors, Mrs. Akinkunmi has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and company collaboration. She has managed projects at Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc; Addax Nigeria Limited; Bowen & Brown Limited; and Bra Solutions. Mrs Akinkunmi holds an MA in International Business & Management from University of Westminster, London and a Certificate in Energy Management from Rice University, Houston Texas.  On the creative side, she also runs a luxury retail home and gift store in Lagos where she curates amazing pieces from some amazing designers from all over the world.

AKINKUGBE KOFO

Mrs. Kofo Akinkugbe Managing Director/CEO, SecureID Nigeria. Kofo Akinkugbe founded Interface Technologies in 1998, SecureID Limited in 2005 and Secure Card Manufacturing in 2012 where she currently serves as the Managing Director/CEO.  SecureID is a MasterCard, VISA and Verve certified Smart Card Personalization bureau and digital technology company whilst Secure Card Manufacturing is the first polycarbonate Smart Card manufacturing plant producing high security identity cards and documents for the Banks, Telecoms and Public sectors across Africa and beyond.   Mrs. Akinkugbe is a passionate and bold pioneer, keen to change the narrative on manufacturing, gender, innovation & technology in Africa. As a real sector entrepreneur, Mrs. Akinkugbe has taken both companies through a number of strategic partnerships into the international market by attaining the most pre-requisite International certifications.   She currently serves as a member of the Nigerian Industrial Policy and Competitiveness Advisory Council and sits on the board of a number of local and multinational corporate, philanthropic and humanitarian organizations alongside her role as wife and mother of two great young women!

AKINDELE ZELDA

Zelda is a Partner in Templar’s Finance Practice Group. She holds a Master of Laws in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Bristol. She is admitted to practise in Nigeria and in England &Wales. She began her career in the banking group of the international law firm, Clifford Chance LLP in London and Milan where she worked on various structured finance and capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Templars, Zelda worked as a Deputy Executive on the Legal Team of UBA Capital (formerly UBA Global Markets) where her role included advising on transactions such as the first-to-market RMBS structure in West Africa, the first-to-market CLN product in Nigeria and various sub-sovereign bonds. She has extensive experience advising clients on syndicated lending, leveraged acquisition structures, RBLs, securitization, capital markets offerings, bank re-structuring as well as domestic & cross-border public and private M&A. Zelda is the co-author of the Nigerian Chapter of the International Banking Regulation Review for 2010 & 2011 published by Law Business Research UK and sits on the FMDQ OTC Exchange’s Debt Capital Markets Sub-Committee on Regulation Consolidation. She has additional responsibility for the Continuing Legal Education initiative at Templars including such matters as knowledge management, legal training & research and current awareness of legal issues.

AKINRINLOLA FOLARINLE

Fola Akinrinlola is a seasoned, resourceful and results-oriented Healthcare Professional with wide-ranging 25 years’ experience, garnered in the United Kingdom and Africa in clinical cardiology services, medical devices sales & marketing, business development, market development and senior-level management.She is an Economics graduate of the University of East London, UK and a Physiology graduate of City of Westminster College, London, UK. Fola is the first Cardiac Physiologist in Nigeria and to date is responsible for training quite a number of cardiac physiologists within Nigeria. She began her career in the United Kingdom where she worked, over a period of eleven years, with several top-notch hospitals as a cardiac physiologist. On her return to Nigeria, she first worked as Head Cardiac Physiologist with Lagos State Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos before moving to Medtronic Nigeria, a medical device company, where she rose to being Lead Cardiovascular Group Manager, West Africa. Currently, she works for General Electric Healthcare (a leading global medical technology and life sciences company) in Lagos Nigeria, as Channel Sales Director, West & Central Africa and Indian Ocean, responsible for General Electric Healthcare’s indirect business in Angola, Cape Verde, Ghana, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Nigeria, Seychelles and Sierra Leone. In this capacity, she has successfully made and continues to make the indirect channel an essential and integral part of the entire General Electric Healthcare business. She is non-executive director on the boards of a number of private companies and, in addition, is a member of Rising Tide Africa (a group of women angel investors harnessing their power, network, passion and capital to positively impact and actively create a New Africa).

AJUMOGOBIA AWUNEBA

Mrs Ajumogobia is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and graduated from the University of Ibadan with a degree in Economics. She has acquired broad professional experience over three decades in the provision of assurance, taxation, finance and advisory services across several industries. She worked at the professional service firms of Peat Marwick, Deloitte and Accenture. Awuneba is also the Chairman of the Board of CAP Plc. In addition, she sits on the boards of a number of private companies including her current role as Executive Director of Multistream Energy Limited. Awuneba gives her time to a number of research, educational and social projects which include her membership of the Board of University of Ibadan Research Foundation, Finance Committee of Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), role as chairperson of the Governing Council of Grange School, Lagos and is on the Executive Council of WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business and Public Service).Mrs. Ajumogobia remains committed to personal professional development in Private Equity, Finance, Risk Management, Financial Journalism, the Education Sector and Leadership at local and global programmes including Harvard Business School, London Business School, IMD, Bloomberg Media Initiative and Lagos Business School. She was appointed a non-executive director of the Company on 6thAugust 2018.

Ajene-Sagna Chinwe

Ms Ajene-Sagna is the Founder/Managing Partner of Catalyst Realty Solutions, a full service real estate firm offering strategic advisory, implementation capability and asset management in the property sector for national and international private, corporate and institutional clients. She has over 20 years’ experience as a high-achieving senior executive. Her prior role was as Group Head of Business Development Africa for Rendeavour – Africa’s largest urban land developers with over 12,000 hectares of land on 7 projects (averaging 1-2000 hectares) in 5 cities across Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, DRC, Zambia.) and 250+ million usd in infrastructure investments over the lifetime of each project. Ms. Ajene-Sagna spent over 14 years with JLL – a global full service real estate firm (Fortune 500, S&P, $5Billion revenue, 66,000 employees and 225+ Corporate offices). Her last role was as Head of West Africa out of Lagos/Nigeria. Previous positions at JLL included Head of the French International Desk in Paris/France, where she provided CRM and Portfolio/Asset management services for key global clients. In Washington DC /USA, she worked on Housing Privatization projects for the US Military (Army and Air Force) – over 2000+ homes. Ms. Ajene-Sagna holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor’s in Arts (High Honors) from Dartmouth College and a diploma from the Tuck Business School Bridge Program. She has qualifications with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and is obtaining her boardroom Diploma in Company Direction with the UK Institute of Directors. She frequently shares her knowledge on strategy and asset management via various mediums including CNBC, Business Day and industry-level forums, and has taught at the Lagos Business School Strategy Department. Ms. Ajene-Sagna serves in the Investment Committee of Rising Tide Africa (raising the RiTA fund) and sits on various boards.
